Supporting Neurodivergent Kids & Teens to Thrive
At Autism Consultancy Services (ACS), we provide strengths-based, neuroaffirming group programs designed to support autistic and neurodivergent children and teens in developing essential social and emotional skills—all within a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
What Are Social & Emotional Capacity Building Groups?
Our groups offer neurodivergent children and teens the opportunity to:
✔ Build confidence in social interactions
✔ Develop emotional regulation skills
✔ Practise communication & teamwork
✔ Explore problem-solving & resilience strategies
✔ Foster meaningful peer connections
We recognise that traditional social skills training often focuses on compliance rather than genuine connection. Our approach is different. We support authentic self-expression, personal autonomy, and individual strengths, helping participants learn skills that feel natural and empowering.
Our Group Programs
ACS offers a range of evidence-based group programs tailored to different age groups and needs. These programs are run by qualified professionals in a neuroaffirming, engaging, and accessible way:
A structured, play-based program where participants work together on collaborative LEGO® challenges, fostering social interaction, turn-taking, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Minecraft Social Club (Ages 7–14)
Using the immersive world of Minecraft, this group helps neurodivergent kids practise cooperation, communication, and shared problem-solving in a fun and familiar environment.
Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) Social Group (Ages 10–17)
Role-playing games like D&D support perspective-taking, flexible thinking, teamwork, and emotional regulation through creative storytelling and adventure-based gameplay.
Cool Kids Anxiety Program (Ages 7–12)
An evidence-based program designed to support children in understanding and managing anxiety. Participants learn practical strategies to cope with worries, increase confidence, and build resilience.
Secret Agent Society (SAS) (Ages 8–12)
A research-backed program that helps children understand social interactions, decode emotions, manage challenges, and develop self-awareness using interactive activities, spy-themed missions, and engaging discussions.
Who Are These Groups For?
Our groups are ideal for autistic and neurodivergent children and teens who would benefit from structured, supported social experiences in an environment that values neurodiversity and individual strengths.
